Some of you may have noticed that adding very, very long URLs (or any text string without spaces) to a RateItAll post can break a page.
Stark's recent post on UFOs was a good example of this.
Fortunately, there exists a very helpful tool to shorten long urls - its called Tiny URL.
It's really easy to use, all you need to do is to plug in the long URL, and it spits out a short one.
Here's an example, I can reduce this link:
http://www.rateitall.com/i-924804-as-pure-as-the-driven-snow--the-winters-tale-macbeth.aspx
to
http://tinyurl.co.uk/9u72
This is a good way to avoid breaking a RateItAll page (and risk getting your post removed).

man do I hate deleting reviews.
ReplyDeleteI had to delete Stark's thought provoking comment referenced above, because it broke the formatting on the item page, and the recent comments page.
Stark, if you'd like to repost using the tiny url tool (i also sent you the translated url), you are more than welcome to. Here's your original comment, just to ensure it doesn't get lost:
"Update: Thanks for the update gh. Perhaps someday the veil will be lifted long enough for independant discovery to have a go.
Update:
Try listening to the whole thing gh... it will cost you 40 minutes of your time. And rather than jumping to conclusions based on a few minutes, it makes reaching an intelligent decision easier to attain. Exactly how many witnesses are required to satisfy discovery? Are 3 SETI officials enough? Are dozens of military witnesses enough? Are thousands of everyday citizens enough? Just exactly what does it take gh in order for you to wonder if there isn't a grain of truth somewhere in the mix?
Original:
SETI is apparently receiving signals from aliens and the signals are now getting jammed from a source here on earth. For the details, listen to the interview with Dr. Steven Greer / Art Bell:
